Il est à seulement 41,07 euros HT (49,28 TTC) au lieu de 139 euros HT (166,80 TTC)

L'offre va jusqu'au vendredi 7 octobre au soir.

J'ai fait un petit calcul en passant la commande (je l'ai acheté, j'ai saisi l'occasion) :

100 - (41,07*100/139) = une remise de 70,45 % et non 80 %. Donc en gros une remise de 70 %.

Bon, la différence n'est pas bien grande, mais quand WA Production annonce une remise de 80 % c'est un petit peu menteur...


Ceci dit, il n'y a pas de piège, c'est bien la même édition, pas une édition allégée.

L'offre est vraiment à saisir pour ceux qui n'ont pas de synthé modulaire et qui voudraient avoir un modulaire facile à comprendre tout en étant vraiment très, très complet.

Merci Jacques pour l'info. Puisque tu dis qu'il y a de la guitare mais que je n'en entend pas (elle serait MIDI) ... Burnt Wurlitzer serait peut-être l'un de tes pseudos d'artiste ?

On reconnait bien le côté "fluide" de KarmaFX, c'est ce côté-là que je lui connaissais, alors que ce synthé est aussi orienté "gros pâté" comme dirait Eric ((295) KarmaFX Synth Modular 2 à 40$ chez APD jusqu'au 22/08/22 (forumactif.com))

Alors une question pour cette V2 : sais-tu si les potards des modules sont accessibles par CC, ou toujours seulement les 8 macros ?

Pour les CC je ne sais pas encore, je vais voir ça ce week-end quand je vais rentrer chez moi. Promis.

Pour Burnt Wurlitzer, je suis content de le retrouver parmi les démos de KarmaFX, et c'est pour moi une surprise parce que c'est un musicien que suis depuis plusieurs années sur Bandcamp. Ici :

Pour le moment je suis en train de lire le fichier d'aide PDF (121 pages). Pas la préversion qui est en ligne mais le fichier complet qui est fourni avec le synthé (pour nous je l'ai uploadé sur mon espace web ici). J'y lis différentes choses.

Mais pour que ces MIDI CC atteignent les modules, il semble qu'il faille les faire transiter par le Control Panel (généralement placé en bas de l'écran). Parce qu'ensuite je lis...

Page 34, dans la description du Control Panel :

The row of eight knobs below the main display, give direct access the user-linkable controls, in 4 sets of 8 knobs. The LED’s to the left, switch between the 4 sets of knobs. Whenever a knob or slider is linked to a control it will automatically appear here, as well as inside the host application. This  means  that  you  can  tweak  it   and  even record it in the host for automating parameters in a song. If you want, several different parameters can be linked to the same control knob.

Right clicking on a Control Knob will bring up a menu, giving you the option to Rename Control to a different name or Unlink Control. The Control Knob's ranges can be reprogrammed by using the Set Max and Set Min options, and reset again using Clear Min/Max. You also have the option to assign a knob to a specific MIDI Control (MIDI CC) for easy editing of parameters from e.g. an external MIDI device. Click Assign Midi Control to start MIDI-Learn mode. Then change a knob or slider on your MIDI device to automatically assign that MIDI CC to the control knob. For this to work, make sure the host transmits all MIDI  events to the  plugin.   Use  the  Clear Midi Control  option  to disconnect the MIDI Control again.

Donc si j'ai bien compris on dispose de 32 MIDI-Learn possibles par patch. Visibles en 4 rangées de 8 (on n'en voit qu'une à la fois mais on choisit à la volée la rangée qu'on veut manipuler, on a donc 32 macros et non plus 8 ) sur le Control Panel, et bien sûr tous ensemble via le DAW ou le contrôleur hardware.

Si je comprends bien, ce module MidiData semble lui aussi être assignable directement par les MIDI Learn sans passer nécessairement par le Control Panel...

J'ai compté un total de 66 modules différents. Pas mal !

66... dont un très original puisque c'est un module container qui permet de charger un autre patch dans le patch en cours. Et on peut imbriquer deux niveaux.

The SubPatch  module is unique multi-functional module available as both Generator and   Effect.  A  SubPatch   is   essentially   a   container   for   another   patch.   The   module therefore features a set of programmable control-knobs, that can be used to control the patch from the parent-patch. The SubPatch can be used as a module-container for tidying up patches, and for reusing already created (sub)patches inside other patches. The synth supports up to two nested levels of subpatches. See also section 6.5 (p.46).

Ca ouvre des portes intéressantes pour se créer une bibliothèque perso de petits patches fonctionnant comme des parties réutilisables à volonté dans des plus grands patches... Comme des sous-programmes en quelque sorte... Un peu comme on fait dans Synthedit.

Bien chouette morceau en effet. Dommage que les démos du site ne donnent pas, en large majorité, une bonne idée du synthé et de ses utilisations. Sur celui-là je passerai mon tour, car j'ai déjà beaucoup trop de vsti...

Mon temps dispo ne connait que des priorité "bricolage" en ce moment, c'est bien dommage que je ne puisse pas prendre le temps de prendre la démo de cette V2.

L'idée pour moi est de remplacer VCV Rack que j'ai en version VST (la 2 PRO) dont l'infinité de modules hérisse le petit être minimaliste qui est en moi. Pour le prix je ferais bien de prendre KarmaFX ... et de revendre ma licence VCV. En fait je m'en sers surtout en VST pour ses modules de modulation pour attaquer en CC de la génération et du filtrage autre.

Peut-être encore trop riche pour tes besoins, vu que c'est du VCV, mais comme c'est fermé en modules, et gratuit...

Je me souviens que j'avais vu   mais ayant VCV complet, je n'avais pas trouvé utile d'aller voir plus loin.

Sinon, je viens d'installer vite fait la démo de KarmaFX ... Eric, en dehors des sons transe, il fait de belles nappes 
Et donc, peut-être parce que je suis un peu speed pour le moment, ça me fatigue de devoir chercher LE module "CV>CC" pour moduler générateurs et filtres externes (on devient un peu paresseux par ici) alors que je l'ai sous la main dans VCV. Alors bon, fi de profusion, je pense que VCV dans sa version VST reste ma bonne solution (plus trop d'appétit pour aller fouiller dans les trucs techniques ... impros et musique avant tout, avec ce que j'ai, le confort quoi. Surtout que je passe 1000 fois plus de temps avec la gratte qu'avec le clavier.)

Pour ceux qui n'ont encore aucun modulaire, je confirme que KarmaFX est vraiment super !

Depuis que je l'ai acheté en septembre dernier il est devenu mon modulaire préféré. De loin, de très loin ! Il n'y a guère que Zebra3 qui pourra peut-être me faire changer d'avis...

Pas du tout le look d'un modulaire analogique (le look de KarmaFX est ultra-moderne), mais vraiment toutes les mêmes options et une pléthore de modules. Et plusieurs types de synthèses, et mixables entre eux bien entendu. Voyez le post initial de ce fil de discussion...

Et l'oscilloscope/audiogramme à chaque module est vraiment une excellente chose, et quasiment sans bouffer de CPU supplémentaire (franchement je ne sais pas comment le développeur a réussi ce tour de force).
